​Cost of Lessons

Each one-on-one hour-long lesson is $75 USD, with the option of bundling four lessons for a total of $250 USD. For first-time students, they can elect for a one-time trial lesson. These lessons are $50 USD instead of the normal $75 USD.

What is the Minimum Age of Your Students?

All students must be at least 16 years of age (with a legal guardian's permission for those under the age of 18). I do not have an age limit for composition students. Students do not need to be or have a desire to be a professional composer to be part of my studio.

Where Are Lessons Taught?
All lessons are taught online through Zoom. Please note that video calling my account at other times than we have scheduled for lessons is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of lessons. All lessons that were charged but not taught at that time will be forfeit and will not be credited back to you. Your account will also be blocked from contacting my account henceforth.

Do You Have a Preference in Notation Software and/or DAW?

I am most proficient in Dorico, but I can easily adapt my teaching for any program and/or medium that you use for traditionally notated scores, including handwritten scores.

I am most proficient in Logic Pro X and Max/MSP, but will accept any DAW or medium for electronic and electro-acoustic works.

Graphic scores, text, and other non-traditional scores are also highly encouraged!

What is Your Cancellation Policy?

Sometimes life happens and that is totally understandable. If possible, I ask for at least 48 hours notice for cancelled and/or rescheduled lessons. For lessons cancelled with at least 48 hours notice, I will do my best to accommodate making up your lesson time. For cancellations within 48 hours, I cannot make any promises but will try my best to schedule you to the best of my availability.

What Language Do You Teach In?

I am a native English speaker and all of my lessons are taught in English.​
